  ਜੈਤੋ ਮੋਰਚਾ : "ਜੈਤੋ" ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ "ਮੋਰਚਾ" ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ "ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ" ਜਾਂ "ਅੰਦੋਲਨ"। ਜੈਤੋ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਿਆਸਤ ਨਾਭਾ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਿਪੁਦਮਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਫਰਵਰੀ 1924 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ। ਮਹਾਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਪੱਖੀ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ-ਕਾ-ਬਾਗ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਨਕਾਣਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੁਧਾਰਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਜੋਂ ਕਾਲੀ ਪੱਗ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਵਾਦੀ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। 9 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1923 ਨੂੰ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਬਾਲਗ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਰਤਾਨਵੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤਿਆਗ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੈ-ਇੱਛਤ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਅਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਵਾਦੀ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਉੱਚ-ਉੱਚਤਾ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਹੈ। ਮਾਸਟਰ ਤਾਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਉਪਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਦਲੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 29 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1923 ਨੂੰ ਨਾਭਾ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਗੱਦੀ 'ਤੇ ...
